Ange Postecoglou criticized his Tottenham team after their derby defeat to Arsenal, describing the team’s performance and recent form as “unacceptable”.

Postecoglou’s side barely threatened in the 2-1 defeat, as Pedro Porro’s shot rebounded off the post from an impossible angle in stoppage time, the closest they came to a reply in the second half when they should have been chasing the game.

Tottenham remain in 13th place with just one league win – against 20th-placed Southampton – since beating Manchester City in November, while Arsenal are eyeing the title. Postecoglou’s team is only eight points away from the relegation zone.

When asked about his opinion of the performance, Postecoglou said: “It was not good enough, especially in the first half, which was very negative. We allowed Arsenal to dominate.
