Francesca Williams, the team captain in England, believes that her time in the Australian Network Presse pushed her to be the best version of herself and will look forward to bringing this when she stops her team in the Nations Cup this weekend.
Williams presented for the first time in the 2016 NSSL to Surrey Storm and represented Wasps Netball and LoughBorough Lightning later, but after seven years in the Supreme English Premier League in 2024 to play with the West Coast fever.
Australia is home to a professional preparation that attracts the best players in the world, which contributes to their classification number 1 and 12 titles in the World Championship.
When detailing her time in Australia, Williams was credited with influencing the Sunkor Super Netball (SSN) on her own ability and that the training severity led her to perform at its best.
Williams said: “It was really great to play in Australia and try a little bit of SSN network ball and that intensity in the full -time environment that they have at the present time with their club system,” Williams said. [The biggest lesson I have learned] It relates to professionalism and standards in training and today and I think this is what comes with full time.
“This is why it is really exciting to see what is happening with NSL 2.0 at the present time. For girls who play here in the English Premier League, I think it is in the early days, what they build and what I know their vision and plan is for our local role here exciting and that they will follow a similar path Hope.
“I feel that playing in Australia helped to develop playing methods, my view of training, it prompted me to go this week, all of which I think I need at this stage of my game.”
The 27 -year -old will look forward to using what she learned while leading her in England against Malawi and South Africa this week.
This will be the third year of the Yames as the leader of England, a feeling that still describes it as an honor, after its first appearance in 2018 against Uganda.
“I feel frankly with this tremendous pride [captaining the team] Williams added that it is very difficult to describe the honor you get to lead the team, and you have the opportunity and responsibility.
“It is something that I do not consume lightly and may weigh sometimes very heavy and you will say girls.” It is okay that you can relax and relax, we will all be well. “I just want everyone to enjoy all the time and rest more than the moment and the opportunity.
“We are building well as one team and communication, I think my role is to make everyone feel confident in court as one unit when we go out and play.
“It is always easier to lead a team when you win, there is no doubt about it, but this is something to work on, and the ability to lead the team when you are in a state As a unit.
