Sri Lanka has been exposed by reducing energy throughout the country, as buildings, including hospitals, have to rely on generators to provide electricity.
The interruption, which started around 11:30 local time (06:00 GMT), was not fully repaired.
Ceylon (CEB) said that the power reduction was caused by an emergency in a sub -station and was working to restore the offer.
According to the Energy Minister, Kumara Jayakoudi, blamed a monkey to cause power outages, saying that the animal came to “a connection with our network transformer, which causes an imbalance in the system,” according to Agence France -Presse news agency.
“The engineers are attending it to try to restore the service as soon as possible,” the minister said.
“We are doing our best to restore power outage at the island level as soon as possible,” CEB said.
Hospitals and companies across the 22 million people are the island that uses generators or transformers.
