The Irish Organizational Council (IHRB) announced that the knight, who holds a holder of the Shellham Festival, had died as a result of the injuries he suffered in the fall of Thoris on February 6.

In a statement on Sunday morning, IHRB said: “On behalf of the Osolivan family, it is deeply sad that IHRB confirms the death of Michael Osolivan.

“IHRB managers and employees want to expand their sincere condolences to the Michael family, partner, friends and colleagues in the weight room and the broader racing community at this time.”

Osolivan, which is widely considered to the rising stars in the weight room, the navy went to victory in the obstacle of the upper beginners in Shallitham in 2023 and registered at the same meeting last year with Jazzy Matty in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap obstacle.

“Michael died sadly in the early hours of Sunday morning and surrounded by his love family at Cork University Hospital,” said Dr. Jennifer Bug, the IHRB chief medical official, said:

“We offer our appreciation for the multidisciplinary teams that have provided the best in Michael’s medical care, both in the pork race and the Cork University Hospital.

“Michael’s family made the decision to donate its members at this incredibly difficult time, but in doing so it made an option that would make a real difference in the lives of other patients and their families.

“I had the honor to know Michael through amateurs and professional professionals, dedication, humility and good nature, which made him always please be in the vicinity.

“Michael’s success and humility will have inspired many and participated in feeling a loss today with everyone who knew him.”

The Sunday meeting was canceled in the Punchstown and Irish from point to point in Knockanard, Nengh and Tinhaly as a sign of respect for Michael.
