Rory Mcilroy defeated an irregular offer off the starting point for a snapshot of the players, as Scotti Chefler began a strong start to defend the title.
Mcilroy found only four corridors during an opening tour of TPC Sawgrass, where he mixed seven sticks with two ghosts to publish five less than 67 and stay in contact with the first leaders.
The former pioneer champion Lucas Glover put the club’s goal with a 66th round, later the JJ Spaun match after a ghost -free round, with Camello Veligas made a trigger tie after it got five birds in the extension of seven hole to reach six.
Mcilroy shares fourth place with Billy Horschel, Min Woo Lee, Akshay Bhatia and Max McGREVY, who still have holes to complete it when suspending playing at 7.34 pm local time (11.34 pm GMT) due to darkness.
The English duo Aaron Ray and Lori Cancer are part of Logjam two pace after the opening 68s, while Scheffler-plays alongside Mcilroy and looks forward to joining Jack Nickelus only as winter three times-he started three times.
How Mcilroy moved to the competition
Mcilroy started the dream when it started from eight feet in the first and two from 40 feet to benefit from five times, to achieve a third of a third, missing the chance of 10 feet in the fourth bird and the hole from the same distance to provide equality in the sixth.
The 35 -year -old failed to climb and descend from the seventh green color and reached his second ghost of the day, where he returned to one of them, before raising the charge of leaders by making an eight -feet bird in the nine.
Mcilroy turned from eight feet on the tenth and regained the finding of the trees off the next starting point to Birdie on the fifth of 11, with the 2019 champion jumped within two of the lead when he added another bird of 12 feet in the twelfth period.
The 2019 champion continued to recover from the TEE WadWard clips to keep his background back and save his best for the last period, as Balkk and the amazing ride-with an iron five-of the code straw that created an eight-feet bird.
“I was trying to be disciplined and strategically, I didn’t do it well,” Mcilroy Sky Sports said. “I didn’t collide with a lot of corridors. I was trying to cut it to play, and I did not do it well, but at any time I missed a pass, I managed to do something with it. I wouldn’t be able to ride like that in the rest of the week.”
What happened on the opening day?
Sheffler mixed four birds with a single ghost in his opening tour, while Zander Chauvili-who completed that stars-inlaid of the stars-fell equally after a double-hole ghost.
Glover Birded has fill out each of the last four holes in TPC Sawgrass to set the first club goal, where Veligas has briefly entered the individual lead in the seventh until a late ghost in the opening round 66.
The crowded leaders see that 19 players are separated by two strikes, with Chandler Phillips between these two back after four years of 68, which included three eagles and a triple ghost.
The opening of the 70th events of the events contained two eagles in its first seven holes, while the Ryder Ludwig Cup players, Justin Rose, and Tommy Fleetwood began with 71 years.
In the previous world, Justin Thomas needed to finish birds to scramble six 78 and face a battle for a reduction on Friday, while former Fedexcup champion Victor Hofeland sits the common bottom of the leading painting after the eighties.
Five players were unable to finish their opening tour and will return to completion at 8.50 am local time (12.50 pm GMT), with the start of the second round at 7.40 am (11.40 am GMT) as scheduled.
