Florence and Pisa on alert as flooding hits northern Italy happymamay

Floods and landslides were reported in parts of northern Italy, amid red weather alerts that affect cities, including Florence and Pisa.

The heavy rain prompted the alert to parts of Tuscany and Emilia Romania, as heavy and continuous rains are expected until Friday afternoon.

The President of Tuscany said that local rescue and health services were at a state of high alert and advised residents to practice “the utmost attention and caution.”

The landslides and mud collapses were reported in Bologna, where some residents were evacuated on Thursday evening before heavy rains.

No victims were reported, and the city said that the worst flood had passed by mid -morning on Friday.
