West Ham are in advanced talks with RB Leipzig over the signing of striker Andre Silva, according to reports. Sky Germany.
The deal being discussed is on loan until the end of the season, which would include an option to buy.
Negotiations are continuing and described as constructive.
Portuguese international Silva participated in 53 international matches, during which he scored 19 goals for his country.
Silva began his football career in Porto, and previously played for Milan, Sevilla and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Ajax’s Brian Proby is also attracting interest from West Ham as they search for a new striker.

Aston Villa have rejected a bid from West Ham to sign striker John Doran.
It is understood the bid was worth £57m, but other sources insist this figure is incorrect. Villa do not want to sell and are understood to value Duran at upwards of £70m.
West Ham have a long-term interest in Durand – who recently extended his contract until 2030 – and new West Ham boss Graham Potter is known to be a huge fan of him.
The Hammers tried to sign Doran in the summer but failed to meet Villa’s valuation. Doran has since signed a new contract that will keep him at Villa until 2030. The striker is a priority position for West Ham in this window.
The 21-year-old has scored seven Premier League goals in 19 appearances this season, with Ollie Watkins used as Unai Emery’s preferred striker.
He moved to Villa Park from MLS side Chicago Fire in January 2023, but only seven of his 54 league appearances came as a start.
