Three-time WDF Women’s World Champion Beau Greaves will enter the PDC’s Q School in the new year hoping to secure a two-year tour card.
PDC qualifying schools offer any darts player aged 16 or over the opportunity to compete alongside the sport’s biggest stars on the professional circuit.
The 2025 PDC Q School will be held from January 6-12 in Milton Keynes and Kalkar, Germany, although Greaves is heading straight to the final stage from January 9 due to his top eight finishes in the Development Tour Order of Merit.
A statement from her management company, Opus Sports Management, said: “We are very excited to see what happens over those four days in Milton Keynes!
“Not only is there a chance for a Tour card, but even if that doesn’t materialize, it opens the door for more aggressive action in 2025.”
Greaves, nicknamed “Beau ‘n’ Arrow,” recently called for a separate event for women to be introduced at PDC after She captured her third consecutive WDF women’s world title with a 4–1 victory over Sophie McKinlay in the final..
The 20-year-old’s participation in the WDF event means she will not be eligible to participate in this year’s PDC World Championship, even though it is open to both men and women.
Greaves, who plays in the PDC Women’s Championship and World Matchplay, called on darts bosses to introduce separate worlds just for women.
PDC CEO Matt Porter responded to Greaves’ comments by saying that Worlds at Ally Pally is “open to all players”.
He said in a statement to: Sky Sports“We have invested over £700,000 in women’s darts over the past five years since introducing the Women’s PDC Series and Betfred World Matchplay and remain committed to providing opportunities for all players to progress within the PDC system.
“At present, we are not planning to introduce a separate World Championship for women; the Paddy Power World Darts Championship is open to all players and is a reward for successful players in the Women’s PDC Series and the winner of the Women’s World Championship.”
After wrapping up another WDF world title win, Greaves, a darts player from Doncaster, said: “I love WDF darts. It’s the only tour that gives you the women’s world championship.”
“The PDC is great. But it doesn’t have a world championship [for women]. It has global Matchplay. This is not good enough.
“The PDC has to have a world championship to justify a women’s tour. The women’s series is great, the money is good.
“At the same time, we want more for it. The ruling of not being able to play together is stupid.
“I can understand men doing it, but women, I don’t understand that part of it – they don’t have a women’s world championship.
“The WDF has a women’s world championship, and you have to choose what’s best for you.”
