Hamas to name next Israeli hostages set to be released happymamay

Hamas is expected to hand over the names of four hostages to be issued on Saturday under the ceasefire deal in Gaza.

They are believed to be soldiers, civilians, and all females.

They will be released for 180 Palestinian prisoners detained in Israel.

This will be the second exchange since the ceasefire entered last Sunday. Three hostages and 90 prisoners were released in the first exchange.

The ceasefire stopped the war that started when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. About 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken to Gaza as hostages.

The Hamas -running Ministry of Health in Gaza says more than 4,200 Palestinians, the majority of civilians, were killed in the Israeli attack.

Hamas is also expected to provide information about the remaining 26 hostages to be released within the next five weeks.

This includes the BIBAS family – he was the debt and two children, one of which, KFIR, is 10 months old when he was captive and the youngest hostage. It is not clear whether this information will include names or hostage or dead hostages.

Prisoners who will be released more dangerous than those who were released on the first stock exchange. They will include those who were killed, some of whom spend a sentence for more than 15 years.

Israel insisted that no one who participated in the October 7 attacks will be released.

The ceasefire deal was reached months after indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas, led by the United States, Qatar and Egypt.

It will be implemented in three stages, with the start of the second stage of six weeks in the truce. About 1900 Palestinian prisoners will be released during the first stage compared to 33 hostages. The Israeli forces will also start withdrawing from positions in Gaza, and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced will be able to return to the areas from which they fled.

The ceasefire aims to lead to a permanent end of the war in Gaza.

There are still ninety -one hostages on October 7, 2023 in Gaza. Israel assumes fifty -seven of them by Israel to be alive. Three others – two of whom were alive – have been held a decade or more.
