A teenager died and four people were injured in a knife attack in Austria.
This happened at about 16:00 local time (15:00 GMT) near the main square in Villach, a southern town close to the border with Italy and Slovenia.
The victim was 14 years old and the suspect was the Syrian asylum seeker, who was detained, according to Agence France -Presse News Agency to be a police official.
“A man who randomly attacked the passers -by with a knife,” police spokesman Riner Dionysio told AFP.
Police spokesman told the Orf, the national broadcaster of Austria, that the delivery factor that drove his car in the attacker helped prevent more injuries.
Orf added that the police did not exclude a second striker.
The broadcaster said that two of the four injured people were in serious condition.
No motive or link was known between Knifeman and five victims yet, although Orf has reported that the police had been formulated for investigation.
Governor Peter Kaiser described Karenthia – the area where Villach – the attack as “unimaginable atrocity.”
