“But I think this club, the ownership, the staff, the players and the fans, have a lot they want to achieve and grow into a great club again.

“I am full of confidence and there is a lot of confidence instilled in me from the coach to my teammates.

“It’s the biggest confidence booster for a striker [to score goals]. You still have to do the hard work for the team and make sure your other teammates are doing well at the same time, but it’s a huge confidence booster when you score goals.

Nottingham Forest are prepared to break a club record to sign Matheus Cunha, but other Premier League clubs are monitoring the player – including Arsenal.

“I think as long as he stays healthy and available, it’s going to be great.

“It’s good for us. It’s good for us fundamentally that our players who are here are happy, motivated and committed.

“There is no doubt. There is no player in our team who does not have that feeling of improvement, and commits himself to competing well. Murillo is just another player.
