Joe Joyce was urged to retire after he was defeated by the Philip Hargovic on Saturday.
Since winning the knockout against Joseph Parker in 2022, Joyce won only once in his last five battles and this victory was a great offer against Cash Ali.
Joyce has suffered consecutive losses in the sulfur size of Zelly Chang. Last year, Derek Chisura brought him down and continued to overcome London on points.
The British, who is now 39 years old, went to 10 rounds with Hrgovic but lost a unanimous decision.

Hargovic said of Joyce:
“But I think it would be better to retire.”
“He has fought a lot of difficult battles. He has received a lot of punching. He has this open style, not a big defense, and just as I said he could give anyone a difficult battle. But my opinion is that he should retire because of his health. This is the most important in the end, to be in good health after boxing.”
Joyce had a difficult professional profession
London was the top amateur, who beat Hergovic years ago in a series of global boxing. Joyce won an Olympic silver medal, and it was not fortunate in not granting gold in Rio 2016.
Joyce was affected by a professional, and defeated Daniel Dubua and other heavy weights as well as Parker.
“He is a warrior. I respect him. He has amazing accomplishments, such as amateurs and professional,” Horgovic pointed out.
But he added: “Now it may be very old at this moment. I think it should be retired, this is my opinion. Without any respect but I think it will be better for him.”
The promoter Frank Warren told Queensberry Younsberry channel that Joyce now “should have serious thinking in his future.”

“There is no impulsion, but this is what he needs now,” Warren said. “It is a game as you come.
“He will want another battle, and I know he will do it. But he needs to sit with his family and have serious thinking in the future. There will be no easy way.
“But whatever it is, we will support him. When you get bigger in boxing, and certainly when you fight the way you should really think about the consequences that will be on the road.
“He is a beautiful man, one of the best people with whom I have ever worked and I just want the best for him now.”
