Joseph Parker still has goals. He wants to “be the world champion, to be a unified champion in the world and to prove the losses that I have passed. Then retirement.”
All this effort begins for him when Daniel Dubua challenges the heavy world title in IBF, lives on Sky Sports Box OfficeWhen New Zealand becomes a world heavyweight champion twice at the Ryada season event on Saturday.
This seeks revenge on the losses that would lead him to a match match with Anthony Joshua, who beat Parker in 2018 to capture the WBO title held by New Zealand.
However, if Parker overcame Dubois – a difficult task itself – you may not get an immediate snapshot in the IBF belt.
Parker can face the undisputed Crown, or re -match Dubois immediately.
“It has not been closed as a match, but that is likely to happen,” Parker said.
“Daniel fought, win, I’m not sure whether there is a match match or if I can fight USYK or anything else they planned for me. He just fighting Daniel and knowing what’s the next.
“I can say that I will fight Usyk, but the plans are always changing,” he added. “There are options there. But the most important thing is winning.”
Parker is convinced that he would overcome Dubua because “I feel we know what he will do.”
He explained: “It is not a surprise, because you know what he will do – he will advance and throw shots.
“I have to be on a point. I have to be much better than you [Zhilei] Zhang and [Deontay] Wilder. I feel that I should be due to the pressure that comes with him as well as the groups he throws. It is power. So I must be much better and much more in my game.
“We have reached a good plan to be able to get out of a situation that he will attend and return it to what we will attend.”
