Martin Baculli’s final elimination, to win the right to fight for Daniel Dubois’ IBF heavyweight title, is scheduled for May.
Bakool will face Efe Ajagba in the USA to become the mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title.
The Congolese contender previously boxed in Los Angeles when he stopped Jared Anderson.
He declared after this victory: “You don’t side with Martin Pacall. I’m a big man and I’m a machine.” “No one wants to fight me.
“I’m a machine. I’m in this sport to take charge. I want to be No. 1.”
Ijagba has only lost once in his professional career and has won five bouts since his 2021 defeat to Frank Sanchez. Most recently, Ijagba beat Guido Vianello, the Italian Olympian.
Bakool has long been highly ranked and is pushing for Dubois’ title shot. The IBF ordered Ajagba, as the next available competitor, to place Bakoli in this final eliminator.
Dubois, who knocked out Anthony Joshua in stunning fashion last year, makes the next defense of his belt on February 22, live. Sky Sports Box Officewhen he faces his brilliant opponent, Joseph Parker.
The Bakoli vs. Ijagba bout is scheduled to be featured on a May card in America organized by boxing powerhouse Turki Al-Sheikh.
He also intends to bring back Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney in separate shifts.
Garcia’s match with Haney last year ended in a no contest after he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
The New York State Athletic Commission banned Garcia for a year, but he will be eligible to box again by May.
He is earmarked for a bout with Rolando Romero, while Devin Haney, who has not boxed since his brutal fight with Garcia last April, is scheduled to face former world champion Jose Ramirez on that May card.
