There are some places in our game that I will call Cathedrals of Golf – Pebble Beach, Augusta National, ST Andrews clearly, and perhaps some of what you can add there.
It means a little more than others, which may relate to history and golf players who won these courses, and what these people mean golf game. With the entry last week, I had a great zero in all these places, so the exit in the end in the Pebble is very great.
I am a great historian for the game and I remember that all the tournaments that were played here, and add my name to that list great.
It was a great week for several different reasons-the hole in one during the first round, playing the Cypress Point for the first time, and it is clear that it gets a victory. I couldn’t get a better start for the PGA tour.
I was in good condition of the model since last fall and played some of the really good golf and continued this year. It is a great way to start my year.
“I am a very good golf player.”
The descent was in the last hole in the Pebble with a difference of three shots and the ability to enjoy it somewhat.
It was distinguished to have time to stand in the eighteenth start box, and we look frankly to one of the most beautiful holes in the golf game and enjoy it, and enjoy riding 18 and do not feel that there is a lot of pressure.
In the mid -18 o’clock, I was roaring for Laurie to become four until he would end in second place on his own. It was great to be able to get it and share this victory with Harry (Diamond and Caddy). I am the person who gets the cup lifting, but there are many people behind it and it is good to be able to share it with them.
Pebble Beach is a completely different test from what you usually expect in the US Open. However, I feel that my game can travel to any type of golf field in any circumstances, in any preparation. I feel like I am a very good golf player and I can adapt to everything I need to adapt to.
She managed to show this during the weekend, especially during the third round with the conditions of wind and contentment. I can win in different places, different tests, fixed courses, soft courses, wind, calm, rain, long golf courses, and short golf courses. Anything I feel is my way, I feel ready to deal with it.
With more experience, it has become better with strategy and sometimes choosing conservative goals, and perhaps choosing more conservative clubs from the tendencies as well. It is clear that something big is my short game.
Last year, it was up and down as I had a good week, then I would become a bad week. There was not much consistency in it. For example, climbing down in the first hole during the final round, for example, it is big and bottom just to get things.
Mcilroy “more equipped” to deal with adversity
I am a great admirer for Chevler Scotti for various reasons and every time I play with him – and I watch how he plays and how much he disciplines him – he is really wonderful watching him.
I try to get a little paper out of his book. When one of your peers has a public as he had last year, and frankly the year as he did in 2023 as well, you start noticing what he is doing and what he made or helped to separate himself from the rest of the fields.
There are pulses I have at the golf course that Scottie does not have it, and I have to earn that existing, and I have to try to be more disciplined about it.
For me, it is really about trying to get the best in myself. I know if I can play on my abilities and do what I did there a little more, the world rankings or the PGA professional tour will take care of themselves.
Scottie is the best player in our game over the past two years and I feel that I was soon. This is a catalyst to try to get the best in myself and try to become the best player in the world again.
I want to do the right things every day, this is consistent, to be disciplined, get enough sleep, eat the correct diet, do the appropriate extent of practice, recover, and save time for other interests in my life that can make me away from the golf a little, also.
It was always the mental aspect for me. Perhaps this is the biggest barrier between being well and being great.
For the largest part of my career, I had physical features and hit the ball for a long time and managed to do things that some players could not do so, but sometimes my mind or my idea of operations that hindered me a little was.
I think I am now better equipped now to deal with everything that was thrown on my way.
