Wood will now lose the beginning of the cricket summer in England, but it aims to return to full fitness by the end of July.

“But I have all the confidence that I will go back to shoot all cylinders now after I managed to sort my knee.

“I would like to thank the wounds, doctors, employees and colleagues on the England team and their coaches for their support – and of course our fans. I can’t wait to return and contribute to what will be 2025 huge for us as one team.”
